It’s peak season in Thailand during the December holiday period but we managed to escape the crowds in Phuket and Krabi last year, Bangkok not so much. Did an excursion with John Gray Sea Canoe (Hong Island by Starlight), rented a speed boat and chartered a trip from Phuket to Krabi with a stop at Phi Phi islands, chilled in Krabi for a few days and finished up our trip in Bangkok. C’est la vie! That would be one awesome way to spend your holiday in the south of Thailand, to the fullest! I haven’t been on this side of Thailand but would love to explore while on a boat too.
The video tells a better story! I wonder who was sober in the speed boat though ??? . Short and precise story!
Haha, my partner certainly wasn’t!
you must have some great adventures. leave me your IG handle, would love to check it out. just started the video thing like last month…
thank you!
thank you! Krabi has become my favorite place in Thailand. it was amazing
How exciting! You’ll love it. Agree on the videos, trying to break into that space… not so easy with my 11 youtube subscribers haha
I’m looking out the window right now and it is raining like there’s no tomorrow. I wish I was in Thailand right now enjoying the sun:). Great video and lucky you :).
i hear ya, would like to be back there myself. this was this past Christmas. wishing you lots of sunshine ahead!
I love watching videos instead of reading! Photos and videos say it all. Thailand is one of my destinations next year! Your video made my look forward to it.
Lovely video! You’ve captured it so well. I spent a few months in Thailand in 2012 and loved exploring the islands – this reminds me how beautiful it was! (& also that I should start doing videos for my blog too!)
I spend Christmas in Krabi in 2011 and it was just magic. What a beautiful place and you’ve captured it well
Wow, vlogging is such a great way to tell your travel story, and you’re really great at it! I’m actually dreaming of doing it myself, but always put it off to buy a decent video camera and learn how to do it like a pro, like you 🙂 P.S. you look very cute when not sober 😉
Marta, I just started. your compliments give me validation, thank you!!! i need to get a good camera, this was all on an iPad believe it or not. lol on sober thing, hubster thought it was hilarious.
well, looked so pro anyway! don’t think you even need a different camera, seriously.
Okay, just seeing the colour of that water and the way it contrasts with the surrounding cliffs is enough to get me to start looking at flights to Thailand… Cruising around there on a speedboat would be such a fantastic way to spend a winter getaway.
the water in thailand is definitely hard to beat. to be honest, the boats are killing the scenery a bit and probably a lot of marine life. we did rent a speedboat just for that day to get from phuket to krabi but in hindsight not that responsible of a choice. the other alternative was a public ferry (equally bad) or to fly. was a bit of a dilemma.
ah, welcome to paradise! I’d love to visit Thailand… and the ladyboy cabaret looks fun too. haha
Thailand is beautiful 🙂 gotta do the ladyboy cabaret haha. when in Rome !
